Types of cookies on MemoryChain.
Zero for advertising. Zero for tracking you.
We use essential cookies that make the website function, and Google Fonts loads a third-party connection. That is the complete list. No analytics. No ad pixels. No cross-site tracking. Nothing that follows you around the internet.
What Is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies are used for many purposes — from keeping you logged in, to remembering your preferences, to tracking your behaviour across the internet for advertisers.
MemoryChain uses cookies only for the first purpose — making essential features of the website and order form work correctly. We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or analytics of any kind at this time.
This policy explains exactly which cookies are set, by whom, for how long, and why. If you have any question this page does not answer, please write to us at support@memorychain.in.
Cookies We Currently Use
Here is the complete and current list of all cookies and third-party connections on the MemoryChain website.
| Cookie / Connection | Set By | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Order form session | MemoryChain | Stores your progress through the multi-step order form so you do not lose your answers if you navigate between steps or briefly leave the page | Session — deleted when you close your browser tab | |
| OTP verification state | MemoryChain | Temporarily stores your OTP verification status on the download page so you do not have to re-verify within the same session | Session — deleted when you close your browser tab | |
| Google Fonts | Google (third party) | MemoryChain loads its typography (Playfair Display, Cormorant Garamond, Inter) from Google Fonts CDN. When your browser requests these fonts, Google may log the request and set a short-lived cookie. We do not control this behaviour — it is a consequence of using Google's font delivery network. | Up to 1 year (Google-controlled) |
What We Do Not Use
The following types of cookies and tracking technologies are completely absent from MemoryChain at the time of writing. We list them explicitly because they are commonly found on other websites — and we want you to know clearly that they are not here.
- Google Analytics or any other website analytics platform
- Meta Pixel (Facebook advertising tracking)
- Google Ads conversion tracking or remarketing tags
- Any other advertising or retargeting pixel
- Cross-site tracking cookies of any kind
- Heatmap or session recording tools (Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, etc.)
- Social media share buttons that track your browsing
- Any third-party marketing or CRM integration
MemoryChain is an ad-free product. We do not serve advertising. We do not have relationships with advertising networks. We have no financial incentive to track your browsing behaviour — and so we do not.
Why MemoryChain Does Not Show a Cookie Banner
You may have noticed that MemoryChain does not display a cookie consent banner when you arrive on the site. This is intentional — and it is legally correct given our current cookie usage.
Under Indian law and widely adopted global standards, cookies that are strictly necessary for a website to function do not require user consent. Our two essential cookies — the order form session and OTP verification state — fall entirely within this category. The website cannot function without them, and consent is therefore not required.
The Google Fonts connection is a minimal, font-delivery-only interaction that does not involve behavioural tracking or advertising profiling. It is disclosed here in full for complete transparency.
Managing & Deleting Cookies
You have full control over cookies on your device. You can view, manage, and delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Here is how to do it in the most commonly used browsers.
Google Chrome
Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data → See all site data and permissions
Safari (iPhone / Mac)
Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data — or on Mac: Safari → Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Mozilla Firefox
Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data
Microsoft Edge
Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data → See all cookies and site data
Please note that deleting or disabling the essential cookies listed in Section 02 will affect how MemoryChain functions. Specifically — deleting the order form session cookie mid-order may cause you to lose unsaved progress in the form. We recommend completing your order in a single session.
To opt out of Google's data collection from Fonts, you can use a browser extension that blocks Google Fonts requests, or configure your browser to block third-party cookies from google.com. Note that this may cause fonts to fall back to system defaults, which will affect the visual appearance of the site but not its functionality.
If We Add Cookies in the Future
MemoryChain may add analytics tools or advertising pixels in the future — for example, to understand how visitors find and use the site, or to run targeted advertising campaigns. If and when that happens:
- We will update this Cookie Policy before any new cookies are set, with full details of what is being added and why.
- We will implement a proper cookie consent mechanism — a banner or preference centre — so that you can choose which non-essential cookies to accept.
- We will never set non-essential cookies before obtaining your consent.
- We will always maintain a clear and honest record of everything we use — exactly as we have done on this page.
The effective date at the top of this page will be updated whenever the policy changes. We recommend checking back periodically if this matters to you.
Governing Law
This Cookie Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Any disputes arising from or relating to this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Andhra Pradesh, India.
For the handling of personal data collected through cookies or third-party connections, please refer to our full Privacy Policy.
A question about cookies?
If anything on this page is unclear, or if you spotted something in our site code that you feel we have not disclosed — we genuinely want to hear about it. Transparency is not a policy for us. It is a standard.
