How We Protect Your Memories

When you upload photos, they go directly into your private folder on our servers — named after your unique Memory ID and accessible only to the part of our system that builds your album. No human at MemoryChain browses your photos. No algorithm studies them for any purpose other than placing them into your album layout. They are not used for anything else. Not now. Not ever.

We keep the source files needed to investigate and correct reported issues during the first 7 days after delivery. After that support window, customer uploads and intermediate working files are removed once your final delivery package has been secured.

Your voice is the most personal thing you give us. For Lite orders, it is delivered to your recipient exactly as you recorded it — unedited, unaltered, untouched. For Classic and Legacy orders, it is processed by our voice AI to produce a narration of your diary — and then your original recording is still included in your package alongside the narrated version.

We do not use your voice to train any AI model. We do not share it with any advertising platform. We do not store it beyond the delivery period. Classic and Legacy narration uses MiniMax. Legacy talking-photo messages also use the supplied portrait and matching audio with HeyGen, as described in our Privacy Policy. After that, it lives only in your download package — with you.

The answers you write to our guided questions — your memories, your feelings, the things you have never said out loud — are sent to GPT-4 (OpenAI) to generate your Memory Diary. No human at MemoryChain reads your answers. They go from your screen to GPT-4, and from GPT-4 into your diary. That is the entire journey.

OpenAI processes your text under their own data handling policies. We share only the minimum necessary — your answers, formatted as a prompt. We do not share your name, your contact details, or any identifying information alongside your answers. To GPT-4, your order is a set of memories without a face.

MemoryChain has a hard deletion policy. Your data does not live with us indefinitely. Here is the exact schedule:

First 7 days after delivery: We retain the source and production files needed to investigate and correct genuine issues you report.

After the support window: Customer uploads and intermediate processing files are removed once the final delivery package has been secured.

Your finished package: Download availability is Lite — 3 months, Classic — 6 months, and Legacy — 1 year from delivery. After that period, the retained package is permanently deleted. Keep your own downloaded copy.

We do not keep your memories longer than we need to. When the time comes — they are gone from our side, and they live only where they belong: with you.

All your files — photos, voice recordings, diary content, and finished output — are stored on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the ap-south-1 region (Mumbai, India). This is the storage location for your order files.

We send the inputs needed for diary generation, voice narration or Legacy video creation to the respective providers described in our Privacy Policy. Optional public website analytics is processed separately by Google.

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data and how to exercise your applicable privacy rights.

MemoryChain does not have an advertising business. We have a gifting business. Our revenue comes from customers who pay us to create something beautiful — not from advertisers who pay us to show you things or study you.

This means there is no incentive — financial or otherwise — for us to sell, share, rent, or misuse your data. Your photos are not a product. Your voice is not an asset. Your memories are not inventory. They are the thing you trusted us with. And we treat them accordingly.

We will never contact you for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We will never let an advertiser influence what we say to you or how we say it. MemoryChain products are completely ad-free — on this website, in our communications, and in your package.
