The short version
Use MemoryChain honestly, with content you have the right to submit, and treat this service with the same care and respect with which it is built.
These Terms govern your use of MemoryChain — the website, the order form, and the files we deliver to you. By placing an order, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.
Who We Are
MemoryChain is a digital gifting service that creates personalised memory packages — including a Memory Diary, Memory Album, and audio or video content — using the answers, photos, and voice recordings submitted by customers through our order form.
MemoryChain operates from India. Our contact email is support@memorychain.in. All orders, deliveries, and communications are handled digitally — there is no physical office or walk-in support.
References to "MemoryChain", "we", "us", or "our" in these Terms refer to the MemoryChain service and its operators. References to "you", "your", or "customer" refer to the person placing an order or using this website.
Using Our Service
To place an order with MemoryChain, you must be at least 18 years of age, or be using the service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
By using our service, you confirm that:
- All information you provide — including your name, the recipient's name, contact details, answers to questions, photos, and voice recordings — is accurate and truthful.
- You have the legal right to submit all content you upload, including photos of other people, and that you have obtained any necessary consent from those individuals.
- You are placing this order for personal, non-commercial gifting purposes only.
- You have read and understood our No-Refund Policy before completing your purchase.
Your Content & Your Responsibility
When you place an order, you submit content to MemoryChain — including written answers to guided questions, photographs, and a voice recording. This content is used solely and exclusively to create your personalised package. We do not use your content for any other purpose.
You own your memories. You own your final output. The diary, album, and audio files we create for you belong to you and your recipient. You may share, print (if you choose to do so yourself), and keep your files as you wish — for personal, non-commercial use only.
If you submit content that is false, defamatory, illegal, or submitted without proper consent, all legal responsibility for any resulting harm rests entirely with you. MemoryChain bears no liability for the nature or accuracy of the content you provide.
Prohibited Use
MemoryChain is built for one purpose — to help people preserve and share love, memory, and connection. The following uses are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate cancellation of your order without refund, and where applicable, referral to law enforcement authorities:
- Submitting content that is sexually explicit, obscene, violent, hateful, or in violation of any applicable law.
- Submitting photos or voice recordings of any person without their knowledge or consent, where that submission could cause harm, embarrassment, or defamation.
- Using MemoryChain to create content intended to harass, intimidate, manipulate, or harm any individual.
- Submitting content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party — including copyrighted photographs, music, or written text you do not own or have not licensed.
- Placing orders for commercial resale — MemoryChain outputs may not be sold, sublicensed, or commercially distributed.
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate the MemoryChain system, question design, pipeline, templates, or any part of our proprietary process.
- Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with our website or order form.
- Providing false contact information in order to circumvent our delivery or verification systems.
MemoryChain is a deeply personal service. It is used during some of the most significant moments of people's lives — including illness, grief, and love. We ask that every customer approach this service with honesty and care. Misuse is not only a violation of these Terms — it is a violation of the spirit of what MemoryChain exists to do.
Intellectual Property
There are two categories of intellectual property that exist within every MemoryChain order. It is important that both are clearly understood.
What belongs to you: Your memories, your answers, your photographs, your voice recording, and the final personalised output files — the diary PDF, album PDF, album video, and audio files — belong to you and your recipient. You submitted them. We built them for you. They are yours.
What belongs to MemoryChain: Everything else. This includes:
- The MemoryChain name, logo, and brand identity.
- The design, structure, and wording of our guided question system.
- Our diary generation prompts, AI pipeline, and processing methodology.
- Our HTML and CSS design templates used to produce the diary and album layouts.
- Our website design, code, copy, and all original content on memorychain.in.
- The overall concept, format, and system architecture of the MemoryChain service.
Samples and anonymised examples: MemoryChain may use fully anonymised, non-identifiable sample outputs for the purpose of demonstrating the product on our website and marketing materials. No personally identifiable information — names, faces, or specific memories — will ever be used without explicit written consent from the customer.
Payment & Pricing
All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (₹) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Current pricing is:
- Lite — ₹799: Memory Diary PDF, Memory Album PDF, personalised voice message audio.
- Classic — ₹1,999: Everything in Lite, plus a narrated Memory Album Video.
- Legacy — ₹3,999: Everything in Classic, plus 3 personalised AI video messages.
Additional services available after order completion:
- Download top-up: ₹49 for 5 additional downloads per order.
- File reactivation: Pricing based on cold storage duration and tier — available within 1 year (Lite/Classic) or 2 years (Legacy) of order completion.
Payments are processed securely through our payment gateway. MemoryChain does not store or have access to your card or banking details at any point. Payment confirmation triggers the start of your order processing — there is no manual step between payment and production.
MemoryChain reserves the right to update pricing at any time. The price displayed at the time of your order confirmation is the price you pay — subsequent price changes do not affect completed orders.
Delivery & Access
Once your order is complete, your files are delivered via a secure, OTP-gated download link sent to your registered WhatsApp number and email address. Your package includes 5 downloads at no additional cost.
- Processing time: Lite orders are processed on CPU and may be completed within hours. Classic and Legacy orders require GPU processing — delivery times may vary based on queue volume. You will be notified via WhatsApp and email when your files are ready.
- Active storage window: 7 days from delivery notification. Files are available for fast download during this period.
- Cold storage: After 7 days, files move automatically to secure cold storage (AWS S3 Glacier) for up to 1 year (Lite/Classic) or 2 years (Legacy). Cold storage reactivation is available for a fee.
- Permanent deletion: After the cold storage period, files are permanently and irreversibly deleted. MemoryChain cannot recover files after this point under any circumstances.
- Download security: Each download requires OTP verification sent to your registered contact details. Download links are pre-signed and expire after 15 minutes for security. Each "Download All" action counts as one download against your quota.
We strongly recommend downloading your complete package immediately upon receiving your delivery notification and storing it safely on your personal device or cloud storage.
No-Refund Policy
MemoryChain operates a strict no-refund policy on all orders. Because every package is fully personalised and made to order, processing begins automatically the moment payment is confirmed — and the product, once created, has no value to anyone other than you and your recipient.
The only exception is a proven technical failure on our side resulting in non-delivery or a corrupted file — in which case we will redeliver your complete package. No refunds are issued under any other circumstances.
Third-Party Services
MemoryChain's pipeline relies on several third-party services to produce and deliver your package. These include but are not limited to:
- OpenAI GPT-4 — used to generate your Memory Diary text from your answers.
- Minimax Audio — used to produce AI voice narration for Classic and Legacy tiers.
- HeyGen — used to generate AI video messages for Legacy tier orders.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — used for file storage (S3), processing (Lambda, EC2), and database management (DynamoDB).
- WhatsApp Cloud API (Meta) — used to send delivery notifications and download links to your WhatsApp number.
- Payment Gateway — used to process your payment securely.
MemoryChain cannot guarantee the continuous, uninterrupted availability of third-party services. If a third-party service experiences an outage, technical issue, or change in its own terms that directly impacts our ability to process or deliver your order, MemoryChain will make every effort to complete delivery using an alternative approach or within a revised timeframe. However, delays caused by third-party failures are outside our direct control and do not constitute grounds for a refund.
MemoryChain does not share your personal data with third-party services beyond what is strictly necessary to process and deliver your order. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.
Limitation of Liability
MemoryChain provides its service on an "as available" basis. While we make every effort to deliver a high-quality, reliable product, we cannot guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any specific output will meet every individual's subjective expectations.
MemoryChain expressly excludes liability for:
- Indirect, consequential, incidental, or emotional damages of any kind.
- Loss of data caused by failure to download files within the active storage window.
- Output quality that does not meet subjective expectations, where the root cause is the quality of inputs provided by the customer.
- Delivery delays caused by third-party service disruptions beyond our control.
- Any harm arising from content submitted by the customer that violates these Terms or applicable law.
- Inability to access files due to the customer's own device, connectivity, or technical issues.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Termination & Order Cancellation
MemoryChain reserves the right to cancel any order and terminate access to our service — without refund — if we determine, at our sole discretion, that:
- The submitted content violates Section 04 (Prohibited Use) of these Terms.
- The customer has provided false or misleading information that affects the processing or delivery of their order.
- The customer has initiated a fraudulent chargeback or payment dispute in bad faith.
- The customer's use of our service poses a legal, reputational, or ethical risk to MemoryChain or any third party.
In cases of termination due to prohibited use, no refund will be issued and the customer may be reported to relevant authorities where applicable law requires or permits it.
If you wish to raise a concern about your order before it is processed, please contact us at support@memorychain.in as early as possible. Once processing has begun, we cannot halt or reverse the pipeline.
Changes to These Terms
MemoryChain reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
Your continued use of MemoryChain after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If a change materially affects your rights as a customer with an active order, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via the contact details on your order.
We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically. The version on this page is always the current version.
