The output we create is shaped by what you give us. AI takes your words, your photos, and your voice — and turns them into something beautiful. But AI has limits. Understanding those limits before you order means no surprises after.

AI-Generated Diary Content
Your Memory Diary is generated by OpenAI GPT-4 using your answers to our guided questions as the source material. GPT-4 is a large language model — it does not know you personally. It crafts your diary from the words and memories you give it.
This means the quality, depth, and emotional resonance of your diary is directly and entirely dependent on the quality of your answers. If you write detailed, specific, emotionally honest answers — your diary will reflect that. If you write brief or vague answers — your diary will be brief and general.
The AI does not invent memories, fabricate emotions, or fill in gaps. It works with exactly what you provide. Giving it more gives you more.
MemoryChain does not guarantee that the diary will match any specific subjective expectation of tone, style, or emotional depth. Output quality varies based on input quality, and no refund will be issued on the basis of subjective dissatisfaction with the AI's writing, provided your files were delivered correctly.

Voice Processing — English Only
For Classic and Legacy orders, your voice recording is processed by Minimax Audio to produce an AI voice narration of your Memory Diary. This narration is then synced to your album video.
English only — at the time of writing
Voice processing currently supports English language only. If your voice recording contains significant non-English speech — including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, or any other language — the voice narration output may be inaccurate, distorted, or unintelligible. This is a limitation of the current technology, not a defect in our pipeline.
To get the best voice output, please record your voice message in a quiet environment, speaking clearly in English, at a natural pace. Background noise, echo, music, or other speakers in your recording will reduce narration quality.
MemoryChain does not guarantee that the AI voice narration will sound identical to your natural speaking voice. Voice cloning technology produces a close approximation — it will reflect your vocal tone and cadence, but may not perfectly replicate every nuance. This is not a technical failure and does not qualify for a refund.
Your original voice message recording — exactly as you recorded it — is always included in your package as a separate audio file, unaltered and unchanged.

AI Video Messages — Legacy Tier
Legacy orders include 3 personalised AI video messages generated by HeyGen. Each video uses one portrait photo and one audio clip to produce a lip-synced, animated talking head video.
The quality of your AI videos depends significantly on the quality of your portrait photos. For best results:
- Submit a clear, well-lit, front-facing photo with your face fully visible.
- Avoid sunglasses, face masks, heavy shadows, or significant head tilts.
- Group photos or partially obscured faces will produce poor or failed video output.
- Higher resolution photos produce significantly better results.
The AI animation technology produces a realistic approximation of facial movement — it is not a perfect digital double. Minor variations in lip sync accuracy, facial expression, or animation smoothness are inherent to the technology and do not constitute a defect.
By submitting portrait photos and audio clips for AI video generation, you confirm that you have the right to use those photos and recordings — and the consent of any individuals depicted — for this purpose.

Third-Party Service Dependencies
MemoryChain's pipeline relies on several third-party services to process and deliver your order. These include OpenAI, Minimax Audio, HeyGen, Amazon Web Services, Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, and our payment gateway.
While we have built our pipeline with automatic retries, failure handling, and redundancy — we cannot guarantee the continuous availability of any third-party service. In the event that a third-party service experiences an outage, technical failure, or change in its capabilities:
- MemoryChain will make every effort to complete your order using an alternative approach or within a revised timeframe.
- You will be notified via WhatsApp and email if a delay is expected.
- Delivery delays caused by third-party failures are outside MemoryChain's direct control and do not constitute grounds for a refund.
WhatsApp delivery of your download notification depends on Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API. If your WhatsApp number is incorrect, inactive, or has blocked our business number, your notification may not arrive. In this case, your download link will also be sent to your registered email address.
What MemoryChain Is — and Is Not
MemoryChain is a creative digital gifting service. We use AI to help people preserve and share love, memory, and connection in a beautiful, permanent digital format.
MemoryChain is explicitly not any of the following:
- A therapeutic or counselling service. The diary, album, and videos we create are creative outputs — not professional mental health support.
- A medical service. Nothing in our product constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind.
- A legal document service. Our outputs are creative and personal — they have no legal standing as wills, declarations, or legally binding statements.
- A data archiving or backup service. MemoryChain's storage is intended for the delivery window of your order — not as your permanent long-term archive. Download your files and store them yourself.
- A human-authored service. All diary content, captions, titles, and narration scripts are AI-generated based on your inputs. No human writer authors or edits your content.
Emotional Sensitivity
MemoryChain is used during some of the most significant and emotionally sensitive moments in people's lives. We are aware of this — it is part of why we built this product with such care.
Some customers use MemoryChain during periods of illness, grief, or family difficulty. We honour that. Every part of the product — the questions, the diary, the album — is designed to hold those moments with dignity.
MemoryChain does not guarantee any specific emotional outcome from the receipt of a memory package. While we build every package with the intention of creating something meaningful and beautiful, individual emotional responses to receiving a memory package are outside our control and cannot be predicted or guaranteed.
We ask that customers approach MemoryChain with honesty, care, and a realistic understanding of what AI-assisted creative work can produce. The best outcomes come from the most honest inputs.
Limitation of Liability
The disclaimers on this page form part of MemoryChain's broader limitation of liability, as detailed in our Terms of Service.
In summary: MemoryChain's total liability for any claim arising from the use of this service — including claims relating to AI output quality, voice narration accuracy, video generation, third-party service failures, or delivery delays — is capped at the amount paid by the customer for their specific order.
MemoryChain expressly excludes liability for indirect, consequential, or emotional damages of any kind arising from any aspect of the service — including the content of the AI-generated diary, the accuracy of the voice narration, or the quality of the AI video output.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and understood this Disclaimer in full, and that you accept the limitations described herein as part of your agreement with MemoryChain.
Governing Law
This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to this Disclaimer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Andhra Pradesh, India.
MemoryChain reserves the right to update this Disclaimer at any time to reflect changes in technology, service capabilities, or applicable law. The version published on this page is the current version. The effective date is displayed at the top of this page.
